The PlayStation Phone

The Sony Erricson PlayStation Phone is probably gonna use Android Gingerbread,  is sporting a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and the screen is in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches. The pictures are of course prototypes, that may or may not really exist.  Lets wait 2011 and see.

However, cellphones with heavy duty gaming experience are easy to find on any brands or OS, i hope the development will be more in the direction of a portable PlayStation that can make calls, rather than a cellphone that can be use to play PS games.

More details and pictures here. Here, and here.

Back to the Mac

the Back to the Mac event was held 20 – 10 – 2010. The event introduces some new Apple releases;

- New iLife

with improvements on iPhoto, where you can easily create photo albums, tagged photos with your contacts, integrated emailing, and the apps also sync to Facebook. iMovie, where you can make (tacky) trailer-like movies. And in garageband (untalented amateur) musicisians can easily record and fix their music if they messed up.

- App Store for Macs </br>money money money

- Facetime for Macbook Air

Jobs said they invented video calling, umh, they didn’t, they’re not the first. But anyway facetime calling can be make between Apple devices.

- New MacBook Air

11-inch and 13-inch screens, longer batter, faster boot time and a lower price tag. The new Macbook Air will be shipped without Flash, and when asked about this  Apple’s response is “get used to it”.

- Mac OS X 10.7 Lion

Mac OS is to be more like iOs

British lads lie more on twitter

A research study by Opinium Research shows that people lie more on twitter than on day to day life.  The research was funded by Direct Line an insurance company from UK.

The research firm polled just over 2,000 British adults on he Web from 3rd -7th June 2010, and discovered a (not really)  shocking truth: that people are not always honest when they’re able to hide behind a screen name and an avatar rather than talk face-to-face.

The research shows that

- 20% people are more truthful on Twitter or text.

- 31%  people are more truthful on real life.

- 17% of men more likely to lie compared to

- 21% women, which means they lie when polled, of course.

Flavour-shifting “Meta Cookies”

A research in University of Tokyo have taken Augmented Reality to a whole new level with the development of the “meta cookie” — a plain, tasteless treat capable of flavor-shifting with the help of a special headset that modifies the user’s perception with image-overlays and scent control.

can you  imagine anything more necessary ? i guess in the future everything will be virtual, i mean everything, from sport to sex to cookies..

3D holographic display

Nothing is cooler than an inspired-by-Star Wars technology, this is a 3D holographic display developed by the team in the ICT of the USC made of rotating mirrors, tracking cameras  and projectors, looks cool;

they also put the technology on a 3D video teleconferencing system;

imagine the possibilities:  games, movies, or even, umh, porn?
